LIFESPAN is hiring experienced, compassionate, creative, hardworking, friendly, and reliable *Lead Teachers* to support children with developmental delays and typically developing children from six weeks of age until they start kindergarten in a blended, inclusive environment.
No previous experience in behavioral health services? No problem! We'll provide you the training you need.

As a North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten Program provider, we offer a child-centered literacy focused curriculum to prepare eligible children, 4 and 5 years of age, for success in Kindergarten and beyond.
As a Teacher in an Early Learning Center, you will develop individual goals for the students and plan and implement activities to assist them with reaching those goals.

* Mentor children to help build social skills and relationships.
* Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities.
* Aid Teacher Assistants with accountability * In addition, you may be required to: * Administer medications.
Training is provided.
*Requirements* *What you need:* * Pass DCDEE criminal record and healthcare registry check * Pass Drug Screen * Pass driving record check if providing transportation * Associates Degree in Education or Special Education * Degree in related field such as Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Speech Language Impaired, Counselor and Sociology will be considered for lateral entry in pursuit of teaching license.
* Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities * Note: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required.
If you do not currently have certification from an approved provider, our American Red Cross certified instructors will provide you the training.
