Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors.
As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories.
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young campers while gaining valuable experience in childcare and education.
Duties:
- Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, including sport type games, arts and crafts, brain games (fun educational activities) and outdoor adventures
- Llead age-appropriate games, lessons, and group activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment
- Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and fellow staff members
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote a positive and inclusive camp culture
- Collaborate with other counselors to create a well-rounded camp program
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or students in a childcare or educational setting is preferred but not required - training is provided and required before summer begins.
-Training dates provided - local counselors hired must attend in person - those in college that is not local can attend via video, zoom, and/or live stream.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 15 years old to be an assistant counselor and 18 to be a counselor
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with children
- Reliable and responsible with excellent time management skills
