*ABOUT US:* * Faith Wesleyan Children's Academy is a non-profit private church child care serving the local community for the past 40 years *QUALIFICATIONS:* * Must be at least 18 years of age * Preferred: NC Early Childhood Certificate, AA in ECE * Minimum one year working in a licensed child care center * Current Qualifying Letter to work in child care from the NCDCDEE * Complete a Tuberculosis test and a Health Physical * Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children * Possess a strong work ethic, along with being flexible in daily needs of the Academy * Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities *RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES: Including, but not limited to the following* * Creating and maintain an environment that is clean, organized and safe for all children * Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development * Prepare weekly lesson plans * Infants - 2's use the David C.
Cook Bible Bites curriculum.
* Serve children AM snack, lunch and PM snacks according to sanitation regulations and requirements.
* Diaper changing as needed.
* Approach parents daily and speak with them about their children * Learn, update and maintain daily records required by the Academy and the DCDEE * Complete required staff training hours; yearly * Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the Academy at all time.
