Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote child development
- Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities
- Assist with homework and provide academic support
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times
- Follow established routines and schedules
- Monitor and address any behavioral issues using effective behavior management techniques
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, such as babysitting, nannying, or daycare experience
- Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, including first aid knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to adapt to different environments and work with children of various ages
- Flexibility in working hours, including availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required
